Drumstick/Murungakai Urpu

Ingredients:
  • Drumstick/Murungakai - 3
  • Red onion - 1
  • Tomato - 2
  • Mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • Sambar powder - 2 tsp
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Thalippu vadagam (optional)
  • Salt

Method:

Heat pan, add oil, mustard, thalippu vadagam, finely chopped
onions and tomato and fry them. Add sambar powder and fry for a min,
add 2 cups of water and 3 inch size cut drumstick pieces. Add salt to taste.
Switch off stove when drumstick is fully cooked. Allow it cool and then add
milk. Serve with rice.

    My mom used to make these when I was a kid.. Was looking for this recipe so long, finally found it..thanks a ton. She also do it with broad beans, steam of spinat.
