Ingredients:
- Tomato - 3
- Jalapeno - 2
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Ginger - 1 inch
- Asafoetida - pinch
- Curry leaves - 1 strand
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Sambar powder - 1 tbsp
- Cilantro - handful
- Salt
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Blanch tomato and grind to puree without adding water
- Heat pan, add oil and fry cumin seeds, curry leaves , de-seeded chopped jalapeno and ginger
- Add ground tomato puree
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, sambar powder and cook till raw smell subsides
- Add coconut milk and salt to taste
- Allow for a boil and garnish with cilantro
- Serve with Idly or dosa
