Onion Cashew Pakoda


Onion Cashew Pakoda is a quick, rich and easy evening snack, made from channa dhal.

Ingredients:
  • Channa dhal - 1/2 cup
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly - 3
  • Asafoetida - 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1/2
  • Broken Cashew - handful
  • Curry leaves - 1 strand
  • Salt
  • Oil
Method:
  1. Soak channa dhal in water for 2 hours
  2. Grind channa dhal, fennel seeds, cashew to coarse paste with little water around 1 to 2 tbsp
  3. Mix chopped onions, broken cashews, asafoetida , curry leaves to the batter and salt to taste
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and drop a table spoon of batter, repeat it for remaining batter
  5. Fry till crispy and golden brown on all sides
  6. Server hot and enjoy
