Onion Cashew Pakoda is a quick, rich and easy evening snack, made from channa dhal.

Ingredients:
- Channa dhal - 1/2 cup
- Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
- Red chilly - 3
- Asafoetida - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1/2
- Broken Cashew - handful
- Curry leaves - 1 strand
- Salt
- Oil
- Soak channa dhal in water for 2 hours
- Grind channa dhal, fennel seeds, cashew to coarse paste with little water around 1 to 2 tbsp
- Mix chopped onions, broken cashews, asafoetida , curry leaves to the batter and salt to taste
- Heat oil in a kadai and drop a table spoon of batter, repeat it for remaining batter
- Fry till crispy and golden brown on all sides
- Server hot and enjoy
