Ingredients:
- Plain Oats - 1/2 cup
- Fine Rava/Semolina - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1/2
- Green Chilly -2
- Carrot - 1/2
- Beans - 5
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Urad dhal - 1 tsp
- Hing/Asafoetieda - 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt
- Powder oats in a blender and mix it with Rava/Semolina and 2 cups of water
- Add salt to taste
- Finely chop green chilly, onion, carrot and beans
- Heat pan, add oil and saute green chilly, onion, carrot and beans
- When its half done add oats mix, cook till water is observed and it comes to dough consistency
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool down till it can be handled with hand
- Make it into small lime size balls and steam cook for 5 mins
- Heat pan, add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dhal, hing, turmeric powder and pepper powder
- Add steamed balls to the pan and toss it gently to coat evenly on the balls.
- Serve hot as an appetizer
