- Rice flour - 4 cup
- Urad dhal flour - 1 cup
- Hing / Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 2 tsp
- Cumin - 2 tsp
- Ajwain / Omam Powder - pinch
- Butter - 6 tbsp
- Oil
- Salt
Mix rice flour, urad dhal flour, hing, pepper powder, cumin,
ajwain, butter, salt with required water and knead to smooth dough.
Use murukku presser with thenkuzhal achu (or) round nostle plate,
fill it with dough and squeeze out to form murukku in a greased plate.
Repeat it for remaining dough and deep fry till its golden brown.
This reminded me of my old days in Malaysia when during Depavali (Diwali ) my Indian friends used to bring over to share with us.
