Bagalabath,white rice mashed with plain yogurt and topped with pomegranates. Variation of curd rice which is popular in South India served mostly with pickle.
Ingredients:
- Raw rice - 1
- Curd/plain yogurt- 2 cups
- Milk - 1 cup
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Pomegranates - 1 cup
- Salt
- Soak rice in water for 15 mins, wash and rinse
- Pressure cook with 3 cups of water for 3 whistles
- Blend rice, milk, yogurt and butter to fine paste
- Add salt to taste
- Mix rice paste with pomegranates and serve
