Paneer Sandwich

Paneer sandwich, toasted torta sandwich roll stuffed with Paneer [Indian cottage cheese] masala served with Veggie Chips.

Serves :4

Ingredients:
  • Torta Sandwich roll - 2 (substitue with any Sandwich bread)
  • Butter - 2 tsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Capsicum - 1/2
  • Paneer - 1/4 packet (cubed 1 cm x 1 cm)
  • Cilantro - 1 cup
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafotieda - 1/2 tsp
  • Amchoor powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Lime - 1/2
  • Salad mix (Lettuce, carrot, cabbage) - 1/4 cup 

Method:

  1. Add cubed paneer in boiling water for 5 mins to soften paneer
  2. Heat pan, add oil, chopped onion,chopped green chilly,  ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell subsides
  3. Add chopped tomato, chopped capsicum, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder and cook till oil separates
  4. Add cubed paneer, amchoor powder, chaat masala, asafotieda, salt to taste and cook for 5 mins
  5. Switch off, add 1 tsp butter, chopped cilantro, squeeze lime and mix well
  6. Roast sandwich roll with 1 tsp butter till its golden brown on all sides
  7. Stuff sandwich with cooked paneer and lettuce mix
  8. Server hot and enjoy

    The veggie chips that you have mention.. is it store brought or home made?

  2. Thanks Reva..Vegetable Chips was store bought..I got it from local organic store - Trader Joe's. You can also get it from http://www.terrachips.com/
