Ingredients:
- Bittergourd/pavakkai - 4
- Onion - 1
- Green Chilly - 2
- Tomato - 2
- Curry Leaves - 2
- Mustard - 1/4 tsp
- Urad dhal - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 strand
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Hing/Asafetieda - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Sambar powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
- Salt
- Oil
- Cut pavakkai/bittergourd into thin slices.
- Boil water with turmeric powder, salt and cook pavakkai for 5 mins
- Heat pan, add oil, mustard, urad dhal, curry leaves, cumin seeds and hing
- Saute green chilly, onion and tomato
- Add boiled pavakka and all powder from ingredients list
- Cover and cook for 15 mins by stirring it in intervals
- Serve hot with rice
