Bisi Bele Quinoa, healthy variation of 'Bisi Bele Bath' which means Hot Lentil rice that originated in Karnataka,India.

Ingredients:
- Quinoa - 1 cup
- Toor dal - 1/2 cup
- Tamarind - grape size
- Shallots - 15
- Garlic - 12 cloves
- Carrot - 2
- Cinnamon - 2 sticks
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 2 strand
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
Grind to powder:
- Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
- Dry Red chilly - 6
- Channa dal - 3 tbsp
- Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
- Pressure cook quinoa with 2 cups water for 3 whistle and set aside
- Pressure cook toor dal with 1 cup water and few drops of oil for 3 whistle and set aside
- Heat 1/2 tsp oil, roast ingredients under 'Grind to powder' , grind coarsely without adding water and keep aside
- Soak tamarind in water, squeeze out pulp and keep tamarind water aside
- Heat oil, fry cinnamon, asafoetida, turmeric powder, chopped garlic, shallots and carrot in same order
- Add pressure cooked and smashed dal, quinoa, tamarind water and allow to boil
- Add ground powder, salt to taste and cook till raw smell subsides
- Heat ghee, fry mustard seeds, curry leaves and add it to cooked quinoa lentil mixture
- Garnish with boondi and serve hot
