Chilly Masala Idly

Chilly Masala idly, idly fried with spice mix and tossed with colored capsicum.


  • Idly -4
  • Onion -1
  • Tomato -1
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli chicken masala - 1 tbsp
  • Curd/Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Capsicum (red, green, yellow, orange) - 1/2 each
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp

  1. Mix ginger garlic paste and chilli chicken masala
  2. Cut idly into small pieces, toss with garlic-chilli masala and set aside for 15 mins
  3. Heat pan, add oil and shallow fry idly pieces till its crispy on all sides and keep aside
  4. Heat pan, add oil, chopped onion, tomato, cumin, coriander powder and fry for few mins
  5. Add beaten yogurt, salt to taste, switch off and keep the gravy aside
  6. Heat pan, add chopped capsicum, fry for a min and set aside
  7. Toss fried idly, tomato onion gravy and fried capsicum
  8. Serve hot with raita
